The challenge
One day, thousands of travellers, multiple transport flows
Achmea organised a national staff festival at Autotron in Rosmalen for 13,000 employees. Parking capacity on site was limited. Employees travelled from seven locations across the Netherlands by car, train and festival buses.
Stuur was tasked with taking full control of the transport management. All flows had to come together in one smooth movement, without delays, without chaos.
What we managed
Complete mobility
94 touring coaches. From 7 locations across the Netherlands, with GPS tracking and real-time coordination.
Shuttle services. Continuous shuttles from external car parks and Rosmalen station.
Parking logistics. Two external parking locations with traffic controllers and Stuur staff.
Backstage logistics. 7,000 goodie bags and festival materials from Schiedam to Rosmalen and back.
Real-time monitoring. All 94 buses on GPS. Predicting delays, optimising arrivals, spreading flows.
On-site team. Stuur staff at every crucial point: station, car parks, access roads and grounds.

All 94 buses equipped with tracking. Routes optimised for staggered arrival in time slots.

On the day itself: continuous adjustments, absorbing delays and spreading traffic flows towards the grounds.
Controlled return journey
Stuur staff at all departure points. Clear routing and guidance until the last bus was safely on its way.
Result
Flawless operation
The arrival went without traffic jams, stress or delays. Touring coaches arrived as a smooth convoy in the correct order. The shuttle services ran in parallel like a well-oiled machine. The return journey for 13,000 people also went calmly and smoothly.
What started as a complex challenge became an operation we are proud of.
