What is a designated driver?
A BOB-driver is a professional driver who drives you home safely in your own car after a dinner, drinks, party, or event. You enjoy your evening care-free, and your car is simply parked outside your door the next morning.
What is the difference between a designated driver and a taxi?
With a taxi, you leave your car behind and have to collect it later. An alternative designated driver (BOB) drives your own car, so that you and your vehicle arrive home together. Moreover, you travel in your own familiar car, with the accompanying privacy and comfort.
How much does a designated driver cost?
The costs depend on the time, the distance, and the duration of the deployment, with a minimum of €124.50 excl. VAT per trip. We would be happy to prepare a tailored proposal.
How does the driver get to me and how does he get back home?
We will take care of that. Your driver will be dropped off at your location or will travel to you independently, and we will arrange their onward travel after the trip. You won't have to worry about a thing.
Can the driver also wait during my dinner or event?
Yes. Your chauffeur will wait wherever you wish and is ready to depart whenever you are, even if it gets later than planned.
Is my car insured if the designated driver (BOB) is driving?
In most cases, your own car insurance also covers an occasional driver. We advise you to check this with your insurer beforehand. Our drivers drive carefully and are fully vetted.
Can I book multiple BOB drivers for a corporate event?
Yes. For drinks, dinners and events, we deploy multiple drivers at the same time, so that all of your guests get home safely in their own car.
What time can I book a BOB driver?
Stuur Chauffeurs is available 24/7. Our drivers are also at your service during the late hours and on weekends.
How far in advance do I need to book?
We advise booking in advance, especially during the weekend and the festive/drinks season. Last-minute booking is often possible, feel free to call us.
What if I have to cancel at the last minute?
We understand. We have a clear cancellation policy with no surprises; there are no charges if you cancel in good time.
